Application before replacement

Brush cutter blade selection by working condition

A blade request needs the cutting task and the approved machine combination. Record vegetation, terrain, mounting dimensions and guarding requirements before a supplier proposes a replacement or alternative.

Illustrated brush cutter application zones

Describe what the crew will encounter

Orchard boundaries

Grass, stems and access around trees

Identify the vegetation and proximity to trunks, irrigation pipes, stones and people. Ask the equipment supplier to confirm the approved blade or cutting head and any exclusions. A grass-clearing task and woody growth should not be combined under one vague capacity description.

Record the existing machine model, blade part reference, external diameter and center bore in mm, thickness and required fastening hardware. A visual match does not prove a replacement is suitable.

Farm access maintenance

Repeated clearing along paths and edges

State the task frequency, path width, obstacles and storage conditions. Where a walk behind machine is required, include the deck and cutter assembly reference; do not substitute a handheld cutter blade merely because the product name is similar.

Compare spare blades by pack quantity, corrosion protection, packaging and documented replacement procedure. Keep rejected alternatives in the record so they are not accidentally ordered with later replenishment.

A checklist for the specification review

Use these local checklist controls to prepare your inquiry; they are not a compatibility test and do not approve a machine/blade combination. A supplier's written approval and manual are needed for the exact model.

Steel blade and line head options can have different intended tasks, maintenance and operating restrictions. A cutting capacity statement must identify vegetation and test conditions. Avoid choosing an alternative solely by thickness or apparent strength.

For a sample review, compare the part marking and dimensions with the approved drawing while the machine is isolated, and record the result in the procurement file. Have any installation or operational demonstration performed under the manufacturer's instructions by a qualified person. Acceptance is specific to that configuration and does not transfer to an unreviewed substitute.

See the equipment inquiry options and attachment quotation scope for related questions. Regulatory and safety documentation should be confirmed for the intended destination and application; this page does not assert product certification.

Send a blade request with a machine reference

Include the material and dimensions to be confirmed, pack unit and replenishment quantity. If the existing part number is unavailable, say so. Optional premium, mid-range or budget preferences help compare procurement scope but cannot replace compatibility approval.
